Because our program at Liber Community School is so unique, parents are often left wondering what it is that their child is actually doing from day to day. We have put together the following tables and explanations in order to better communicate with the families that are with us and help prospective parents get a peek into our days.

Definition of Terms:

Morning Meeting: A time when the entire school is led in the Pledge of Allegiance, Mission Statement and announcements for the day are made. This is also a time for greeting one another as a whole school.

Table Time:

Project/Compass time: This is where the bulk of teacher and student directed learning happens. Foundation time is filled with classics, writing, science and mathematical reasoning activities.

Mentor Groups: Each Monday morning after morning meeting, each faculty member takes a student she is working with and sits down and does some teaching, coaching and goal setting for the week. These goals are then published on googledocs for parents, teachers and students to be able to see what commitments have been made.
